This limited edition set includes two of the most popular knives, a 20cm Chef and a 15cm Multipurpose. A unique hybrid of Western and Japanese design.
The blades are made of 72-layer double-core Damascus steel with a hardness of 60 (±2) HRC. In an innovative forging process, it is forged by alternating layers of flexible but durable VG2 steel and particularly hard VG10 steel.
Dual core blade steel provides strength, rigidity and incredible edge retention.
- 71 alternating micro-layers of VG2 and VG10 stainless steel wear at different rates, creating micro-indentations to provide long-lasting cutting performance.
- The comfortable D-shaped handles have a slight ridge that extends the length of the handle to fit your hand, naturally.
- Pakkawood with deep red and black chestnut-shaped grain is extremely comfortable and secure in the hand. At the same time, the continuous tang guarantees the optimal balance between blade and handle.
- Stainless steel end cap with embossed Shun logo for balance and beauty.
- The knives are always safely stored in the padded aluminum case with the Shun logo, the two leather sheaths included in the set offer additional protection for the sharp blades, even when the knives are stored and transported outside from the aluminum briefcase.
- Handmade in Japan.
